Our 2013 Learn to Row schedule is now available. Sign up for classes using the form at the bottom of this page.
Once you sign up for a class you will be contacted via email by the register with additional details. No experience or special equipment is required - just bring typical workout clothes. Level 1 Sweep classes are designed for the beginning rower. Classes emphasize safety, rowing technique and individual fitness. Special equipment is not required. Class members learn to row in eight person shells. Our sweep rowing classes generally include 10 two hour lessons for $160, and a class size of 8 to 12.
Level 2 Sweep classes are designed for graduates of Level 1 or for rowers with some limited experience. Rowing technique, fitness and an introduction to competition are included in this class.
While enrolled in a Level 2 sweep class, class members are encouraged to attend our Saturday coached club rowing sessions from 7-9am. Graduation from a Level 2 class earns you one month of free club membership.
Rowers with previous experience (one year +) should check the Members section of this site and contact the club about taking part in a guest row or becoming a member.
Instructors for our classes include coaches Spencer Kroll, Ralf Genske, Peter Edwards and Kevin Mulvaney.
